JUNE 25 NEW TRACK "GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN" RELEASED
June 25th is a special day. It is the 30th anniversary of Prince's album PURPLE RAIN. It is also the 5th anniversary of the death of one of the greatest entertainers that ever lived, MICHAEL JACKSON. On this very special day we commemorate it with our release... our tribute to Michael Jackson, called GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN. You can listen to it on the right of this pane.
This track, first one co-produced by Ric Supreme and Shawn Melody, is a surefire banger! It is called NOD YA HEAD 2 THIS! This track definitely exemplifies old school with some definite new style mixed in. I guess you can call this track Brand New Old School and when you listen to it you will find that you can't help but nod ya head to it. Shawn Melody and Ric Supreme, now known as the CORTLAND CONNECTION, start to formulate what is going to be the TAKING IT BACK EP... the lead track, TAKING IT BACK is complete. This single and everything on the EP will be a throwback to the days in rap when you could really understand lyrics, they actually meant something, as well as beats that are smooth and danceable. Our tagline... IT'S OLD SCHOOL ON PURPOSE.
